"Wake up and smell the roses" is a common saying… No matter how bad things look, if you enjoy the simple pleasures that life bestows, one can get through most things. I love the way that the magenta flower stands out amongst the grey hues of the painting. If you cannot find wonder in nature, you will always be tangled in barbed wire.
