May works on commissions for Murals and Portraiture, Landscapes and various subjects. The work can be realised in a realist fine art or abstraction style.
All of Mays works contain fine details and are built using many layers, therefore they take time to create.
May is considered with the type of commissions she takes on to ensure the work suits both artist and client. In that way, everyone gets the best outcome. Whilst the wishes of the client are carefully considered, May requires a level of freedom for her to use her own creative license.
The process begins with an initial discussion.
The things to consider are: The timing, dimensions of your artwork, subject & style of the composition, the medium and structure.
Once this has all been decided upon, a quote and brief including timeframe will be supplied to ensure both parties are happy with what has been discussed.
If you are happy to proceed a 50% deposit will be required before the commencement of the painting. Once this is received, May will get back to you with a very loose sketch of the composition and an indication of the colour palette. You may request changes at this point.
Upon completion of the artwork, a digital image will be emailed to give you an opportunity to make any small changes to the painting if possible. Finally, upon receipt of the last 50%, the artwork will be carefully wrapped and sent to you.
The price of an Art Commission is primarily driven by size, composition, detail level and by the amount of time required to complete your artwork to your personal specifications.
