Alfons and his beautiful soul is in doggie heaven. Losing him was one of the most painful things that I have endured and my heart still bleeds. This picture was to capture him in his joyful state, asking for the stick to be thrown for him on the beach. Pure pleasure. Occasionally when I go back to Amsterdam, I see a stick on the pavement before my front door, and I like to think that he's home.
