I have six nieces and each one of them is a precious little Angel. I painted this with them in mind. It is inevitable that life will clip their angel wings, just as it did mine. Alas, that is part of growing and becoming a stronger person. This painting represents the innocent child, and the hard lessons to come, and my hope that they will be guided by all the other angels before them. The original is painted on wood board, and the texture comes through the painting. I kept the background muted to give it an ethereal feel.
