This painting was a commission born out of a desire from the client to hold onto the excitement of his younger days as an expatriate living in Amsterdam and enjoying the nightlife. Those heady nights, full of loud music and bright lights, all too fleeting and gone in a beat. A moment suspended in time. The Paradiso is without a doubt the best venue that I have ever been to, to see a music artist or to dance in as a nightclub. Robby Williams said that it was the best venue in the world that he had ever played in because the acoustics are so good. The Paradiso holds many fond memories for many.
