A strong facial profile is so striking, in humans as well as animals. A cute button nose is sweet on babies and plain on adults, give me a strong Roman Nose any day. This painting shows the beauty of a human and canine profile. We are different, yet we are the same. My Grandad had a white Pitt Bull Terrier, and she was the sweetest gentlest thing. At 3 years old, I used to escape and run round to my Grandads house to play with her. Thankfully she had died of natural causes prior to the Dangerous Dogs Act in which Pitt Bulls were exterminated via mandatory destruction during 1991 and 1997. This is heartbreaking because no dog is born dangerous until man makes it that way. I love the colour's and the marks on this painting. They were a pleasant surprise when I could peel away a finish underneath.
